*The Talmud states, "Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly now, love mercy now, walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it. *
Somehow it is left to us, this most hopeful of generations, to bear the unbearable and yet cultivate the courage to ask of us, ‘What is ours to do here?’
We live in the age of poly-crisis, most of the dominant systems are breaking down and have stopped working for the majority of the people. A day in our lives often consists of hearing some of the most heart-breaking and life-affirming news, sometimes in the same breath!
At Youth Alliance, we see the urgency of our times and can feel how severely it affects each of us. In light of this, for our alumni community, we are bringing back ‘Hope through the cracks' - a space where along with strengthening our inner work, we also equip ourselves with skills, knowledge and resilience required to respond to current crisis
We intend to begin this with a pilot of 6-online calls, once a month, where the space would be around.
- To acknowledge and process realities of our times - holding space for all the emotions and ways our hearts, bodies and minds are feeling in the current times through listening circles, grief processes, movement, etc.
- To build resilience - cultivating practices of hope an radical imagination
- To prepare ourselves with skills and knowledge - about contemporary issues affecting socio-political environment of the country like upcoming Lok Sabha elections, CAA-NRC etc
- Active Participation - Like preparation to show up in solidarity with Ladkah, participating in local governance through ground actions, etc
Details of the calls
