Working in the circle - invites each participant as an equal and unique human being. And therefore a source of learning for others. YA's role is that of a facilitator to draw each's potential out - and not to colonize with its opinions.
Immersion into a reality with empathy is key to expanding our worldview and truly understanding why things/people are the way they are. Stepping beyond theory and intellectualisation, YA takes people on a journey to live the life of the people they want to understand. It not only impacts their mind, but affects their heart in the way they perceive the world.
Our process continuously invites participants to engage in reflection about their own inner self, thoughts, emotions and actions. The underlying belief being that real revolution will happen only when it is personal. And self therefore becomes the source of change. Be the change you wish to see.
One can't serve the other without continuous changing oneself, it comes from a space of 'let's listen to each other' rather than 'I know it all'. Fixing & helping may be the work of the ego, and service the work of the soul. At YA, we strive to create a process that allows true service to emerge.
During and after the program, one of the key sources of magic is close personal mentoring. We have witnessed the sheer impact of listening with curiosity that instills loads of confidence in an individual and lets her/him be guided by the inner voice.
We develop the capacity to push our understanding to be aware of interconnections of all systems. In turn focusing on the long-term rather than quick-fixes.
